This is incredibly random, but occasionally form responses submitted to my Personnel Action Form that are “Completed” will not fire to my Zapier integration. I can not seem to figure out what the variable is that causes some to not fire off and most to fire off and would really appreciate some insight.
This is a very important form so I can’t risk a 10% fail rate - has to be at least 99% successful
Hi there, usual cause for cases like this is when you have user tracking on! With it on, users are remembered so submissions done on an already recorded user id would not fire a fresh completion status (because it is already completed before).
You can click on that submission and see that its user id creation date (under the user id field on the upper left corner) would show a mismatch compared with the last update date in the results table format. This means it’s a returning user and completion has most probably fired once before.
If you do not really need to track users, we highly suggest turning User Tracking off on your form’s Settings. This should identify all submissions as new and all completions will be pushed as expected on Integrations that use the form completion trigger.
Roger that, thank you for the timely response. I have disabled tracking and will monitor the next 30 submissions or so and report back if the issue persists - otherwise I will mark it as the solution!
